Maker Faire Hits Austin

If you haven’t yet made weekend plans, definitely don’t forget about Maker Faire, which is a large public events that celebrates “makers” of all kinds, including tinkering, craft and design.  Maker Faire is an amazingly fun event for all ages.  Several groups  which our Technology and Education Executive Council (TEEC) is a part of will participate including:

TAME mousetrap cars

Capitol BEST Robotics Field Day

First Lego League

Discover Engineering & The Austin Children’s Museum

To buy tickets, go here and they’ll be saved for you at Will Call.  Maker Faire is held at the Travis County Expo Center and the link to the map is here.  To find out more about the Maker Faire, we also recommend visiting the Austinist’s Maker Faire section where they are doing in-depth features on different exhibits and makers.  What great fun!
