23rd African American Men and Boys Conference October 18th

The 23rd African American Men and Boys Conference, presented by The Michael Lofton Talk Show, will be Saturday, October 18, 2008. The conference’s annual theme will be “Individual Responsibility.”

Skillpoint Alliance’s Vice President of Educational Services, Carol Wright, will be volunteering and facilitating the workshop, “Can Anyone Help Me Gain Some Understanding About Life After High School?”

There will be several keynote speakers, including Mr. Patrick Patterson, Principal of LBJ High School, on “Managing Diversity on Campus,” and Pastor A.J. Quinton on “Taking Control of My Life when Life Challenges You.”

The conference is free, with refreshments and door prizes provided, as well as workshops for boys, girls and adults of all ethnicities.
